the 18th century (1877), W.C Harris constructed this house for the
couple Edith and James Peake. This house stands out as one of the

Residence dates to 1877, built for the James Peake family, a wealthy
merchant, and shipbuilder.
Henry
Cundall, a landowner, and philanthropist moved into this house with
his sisters in 1883. After Cundall died in 1916 and before becoming a
heritage museum, the house was used as a residence for young ladies
and a home for nursing students.
During
your visit, you'll meet an expert guide, who will take you on a tour
of the most outstanding rooms. You'll see displays of antique wooden
furniture, porcelain tableware, and silverware.
Expect
to be wowed by the colorful wallpaper commonly used in Victorian
times as a sign of luxury. Check out the gold-framed paintings,

house and museum are located about a 10-minute walk from downtown
Charlottetown. There is a large metered parking area next to this
attraction. During your stay in this area, you can also visit the
Prince Edward Island Government House and Victoria Park, where the
Prince Edward Battery is located.
The
Beaconsfield Historic House is open year-round, and there is an
entrance fee. From June to August, the house is open from Sunday to
Friday. In May, September, and October, the residence is open from
Monday to Friday. Between November and April, it is open on Monday,
Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
