About Our Home Inspection Process
We follow a meticulous home inspection process that helps ensure no important details are overlooked. Our process uses a series of checklists that must be completed to ensure your home inspection report is complete. While the approach is comprehensive, it is also easy to understand and can be broken down into the following three steps:
- Inspect all relevant systems of the home.
- Document our findings.
- Present your completed, comprehensive report.
All homes have a number of "systems" and each system has numerous components to be inspected. Because of our experience, we can work efficiently yet comprehensively through each system in the home and inspect each component of every system. Based on what we find, we document these findings to indicate if each component and system is in excellent condition, and if not, we provide details about the type of issues found and the extent of the issues.
Finally, when our report is complete, we present the report to you, reviewing the details and answering any questions you may have. This 3-step process: 1) Inspect, 2) Document, 3) Present, is easily understood and helps ensure a quality report is produced for the home you have asked us to inspect.
Photos Included!
In addition to our checklists and written part of the report, we also make sure to take photos of each area of the home being inspected, and include these photos as part of our finished home inspection report. These photos make it easier for you to see, visualize and understand any problem areas we identify. They also help you communicate these types of issues to others; for example, if you are buying a property, you may need to communicate the problems clearly to your real estate agent or the buyer as part of the home purchase negotiation process.
