Located
in the heart of Charlottetown is the National Memorial building of
Canada as a tribute to the Father of Confederation. This national art
center is not only the center of attraction for the citizens of
Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island but to the whole of Canada. The
Confederation center of arts holds a vital role in the Charlottetown
conference of 1864 as bringing valuable official recognition to the
city. The Upper Foyer of the Confederation Centre of the Arts is the
replica of the historic Confederation Chamber that has been

where the Fathers of Confederation met during the Charlottetown

National Memorial to the Fathers of Confederation

center was founded in 1964, in memory of the father of the
